Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin
So I’m extremely excited for this weekend because one of my long-time beloved indie bands is coming to Binghamton this weekend and they’re playing for free! They’re titled Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, referring to Boris Yeltsin, the first president of Russia. They’re a small band from Missouri that released their first album, Broom, in 2004. The first time I saw them they actually did a show at the Landmark in Port Washington (my hometown in LI) w/ Nightmare of You (who are also coming here!) during my sophomore year of high school. They were amazing live and completely blew my expectations for an opening band at a show for a crowd of about 35 people. They were the band that introduced me to the indie genre.
