This photograph was taken at the famous Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. As part of a 30 year birthday celebration of an IKEA bookshelf called Billy, IKEA placed 30 bookshelves along the beach to form “the world’s longest outdoor bookcase”. The shelves, which were in place for one day, held thousands of titles for beachgoers to take home or swap for old used books. Donations for books were also collected to benefit The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation.
