I love color—bright colors, bold colors, dark colors. We live in a colorful world but do we ever really stop and appreciate it? I feel like each day we look at things, but don’t really see them. We’re often so preoccupied by our daily routines that we miss a slice of our lives. Color. Sure, there are infamous beautiful sunsets with swirling shades of orange and red that seem magnetically catch our attention but what about the simple things? I find that a lot of the time I get distracted by color, by the rich mahogany brown of my desk or my vibrant pink bedsheets. I feel so privileged to have color in my life and try to embrace as many colors as possible. Color is such a gift and I can’t imagine what it must be like to be color-blind. It so interesting to me that color-blind people can look at something and see something different then what I see and who is to argue who is right about it’s actual color. Just cause I see a red chair and a color-blind person sees that’s it bluish-gray, neither one of us has more authority to state the actual color of the chair. It’s all about perspective. The world is a canvas, and our eyes are like paintbrushes.

I’ve been saying the word color so much that it sounds weird now.
