Nanotechnology is crazy. Apparently a group of nano experts at the Technion Institute of Haifa were able to engrave the entire Old Testament onto one grain of rice. So you thought having your name on a grain of rice was cool…how about 300,000 words! It was done in order to prove that mass amounts of data could eventually be stored in small molecules and DNA. The Technion’s microscopic bible was created by “blasting tiny particles called gallium ions at an object that then rebounded, causing an etching effect”. What’s even crazier is that the procedure only takes 60 minutes to complete!
